From the artist: " I started carving them for pandemic reasons in March, inspired by/quoting Durer, Callot, Wierix (from a book I have from the Von Der Heydt Museum Vergangene Welten (Bygone Worlds) one of the few I grabbed when I got kicked out of my studio."
