Serial Structures
May 2-31, 2008
Kathleen Rabel's show Serial Structures includes installations, sculpture, paintings and prints. The exhibition "...is a body of work that strives to make physical an action, to make the intangible tangible. These images are concerned with how a shape takes form through a series of structures that represent space, time, and change". A Fulbright scholar and co-founder of the experimental workshop +=studio blu=+, Rabel has been a force for the print arts in Seattle and at Cornish since the mid-1970s. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, The British Museum, The Museum of Modern Art (N.Y.), the Seattle and Tacoma Art Museums and others.
