AJAY GARG (Indian, b. 1967)

Miniature Paintings

The Antique Department presents an exhibition of new work by Rajasthani native Ajay Garg. Having studied since the age of ten, Garg uses a magnifying glass and a single-haired brush to produce masterful miniature paintings which reflect the rich history of visual storytelling in India. From lovely peasant girls to Hindu deities, Garg’s subjects are brought to life with this traditional technique through his painstaking attention to content, composition and exquisite detail.
