Peter Milton was born in 1930 in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania. He studied at Yale University during the 1950s under Gabor Peterdi and Josef Albers. Milton is known for his unique style that features panoramic landscapes, multiple perspectives and planes, and photo-realistic detail. His pieces often involve historical figures from many different periods collapsed into one moment. Milton is one of the most highly regarded American printmakers; his work is held in over 150 museums worldwide.
