Born and trained in Switzerland, Peter Brauninger has lived, worked and exhibited in several major cities between Europe and America, including Zurich, Paris, New York and Hamburg. His images address experiences of life in big cities, exposing the seedier sides - bars, alleys and subway tunnels - as the sources of activity and vitality, however askewed.
