Ben Beres (American, b. 1976) is a Pacific Northwest artist with a focus on creating detailed works through the process of etching on copper. Over the years his practice has expanded to include work in the as-yet-experimental arena of vitreography (printing with glass plates), etching on glass, and public engagement through performance. He was born in Akron, Ohio in 1976 and graduated from Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle, WA in 2000. His work has been exhibited in the United States, Japan, and Canada. Beres teaches printmaking at Cornish College of the Arts and vitreography at Pilchuck Glass School, and he is also well known around Seattle, WA as one third of the conceptual art trio SuttonBeresCuller.
