Wendy Orville's stark, evocative monotypes capture the emotional complexity of the Pacific Northwest Landscape, celebrating both the drama and beauty found around us. She received a BA in Fine Arts from Yale University and an MFA in Painting from American University. Her work has shown nationally including the Tacoma Art Museum, the Museum of Northwest Art and the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.
In her 2016 exhibition Refuge Orville’s distinctive and dramatic monotypes capture visual and poetic equivalent of the landscape of the Northwest. Emotion, beauty, technique, and the ephemeral all come together in this artist’s practice.
