East European & Russian Artists
Eastern Europe and Russia have long fostered a great printmaking tradition. The work is characterized by incredible draftsmanship, minute detail, and intriguing subject matter. The images combine humor, wit, fantasy, and are often a little dark or twisted. They typically reference literary or art historical themes. Eastern European and Russian print artists have become widely known through their participation in international Ex Libris and miniature print competions and exhibitions. Davidson Galleries is committed to exhibiting the graphic work from this rich, creative region.
