Lithographs from the 1970s

In this body of work, Francisco Toledo masterfully weaves images from his native Mexican-Indian Zapotec legends and folktales with modern caballero scenes. Toledo, Mexico's premiere contemporary print artist, makes wonderful use of lithographic tusche for magical textural effects with reticulation and scraping back into solids.
