RONALD SEARLE (English b. 1920)
Publisher Proofs

Absurd, satirical, and profoundly influential, the works of Ronald Searle are among the best known and most highly regarded cartoons of the 20th century. During the month of July, the Antique Print Department will present a unique collection of original lithographic proofs submitted by Searle for publisher consideration in the 1970s, providing a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the artist’s production process.
