TOMIYUKI SAKUTA

The Contemporary Print & Drawing Department is proud to introduce the work of contemporary Japanese artist Tomiyuki Sakuta. The exhibition will focus on the artist's complete Visitors series. These 20 surreal assembled figures employ the full range of etching and other intaglio processes. Each figure is built around a theme such as: "Waiting for Spring", "Windmill Keeper", "Chatterbox", "Iron Warrior" or "Decorative Maiden". Sakuta has received international attention with exhibitions in the U.S., the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Finland, China, Bulgaria, Canada and awards at numerous international exhibitions.
