Original lithographic colors, with added modern hand coloring. Roberts noted that the stones used here were the largest he had seen, one piece being over 60 feet long, twice what he had encountered in any Egyptian ruin.

Vignettes. Roberts considered this the finest location
from which to view the entire site of Baalbec.
