JANET LOWRY

Canadian print artist Janet Lowry, describes her etchings as "a highly abstracted response to landscape and nature." In particular Lowry looks to the prairie landscape surrounding her home in Calgary, Alberta. Her work is informed by the extremes of harsh light and dark shadows that move across the wide open spaces. These abstract images reveal the inherent power, delicate colors and subtle textures of the land and sky.
