Light Orchestration
Light Orchestration: New Monotypes is an exhibition of more than twenty new works by California artist Kevin Fletcher. The artist has developed and refined unique imagery informed by architectural and industrial spaces photographed in his travels within the U.S. and abroad. These monochrome images vacillate between realism and abstraction. Clear radial lines and implicit light create an “unfussed formal complexity” that is graphically dynamic and delicate. The representational references imbedded in the collected abstract elements of the new works, broaden his subject selection from the industrial landscape to include political and theatrical subjects.
