Mary Farrell

Mary Farrell was born in the state of Kentucky in the US, the second of seven children. She received her BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and her MFA from the University of Cincinnati both with a concentration in drawing and printmaking. Since 1989 Mary has exhibited her work in over 150 shows both nationally and internationally. She is currently a Professor of Art at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington in the US where she chairs the printmaking department. In 2007 she visited The Hubei Institute of Arts in Wuhan, China and was named a Visiting Professor of Art and has developed a close ongoing relationship with their students and faculty. Her work is collected in both private and public collections including the Portland Art Museum, the City of Seattle Art Collection, The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane, The China National Academy of Fine Arts in Hangzhou China, and many corporate collections.
